Buying RIP Tweaks for Someone Else

If you are buying for someone else, for example a parent paying for a child, the important thing is which account the licence lands on.

The licence attaches to the account that checks out

Not to the card, and not to the email on the payment method.

The way that works cleanly

1

Have the person who will use it create their free account first

2

Sign in as that account

3

Check out using whichever card you like

The payment method does not have to match the account.
4

They sign in to the app with that account and Premium is there

If you already bought it on your own account

Do not buy it again. Send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right, tell us both email addresses, and we will look at moving it. It is much easier for us to move one licence than to unpick two payments.

A note for parents

Two things worth knowing. Payments to unfamiliar merchants are often stopped by banks, so if it declines, approving it in your banking app usually fixes it. And the licence works on one PC at a time, so it cannot be shared between two children on two PCs.

Gift codes

We do not currently have a gift code system. Buying on the recipient’s account, as above, does the same job.

Refunds on a purchase for someone else

The same policy applies as any other purchase. Purchases can be reviewed within twenty four hours if the software has not been accessed yet.
