Does It Work on Handhelds, Mini PCs and Tablets
If it runs Windows 10 or Windows 11, RIP Tweaks runs on it. That includes Windows gaming handhelds, mini PCs and Windows tablets.
Handhelds
These work, and they are one of the more interesting cases because they ship with conservative power profiles to protect battery life. The Power page is where you will feel the difference.
Be careful with the aggressive power items. A handheld with an hour of battery left is not an improvement, and heat matters more in a small case with a small fan.
Mini PCs
These work normally. They usually rely on integrated graphics, so the graphics options that apply to your chip are the relevant ones. There are also settings for how much memory is set aside for integrated graphics, which can matter on these machines.
Windows tablets
These work, though there is less to gain. A tablet is usually limited by its hardware rather than by wasted settings.
What will not work
Anything that is not Windows. There is no version for macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Steam Deck running its own Linux system, or consoles.
ARM based Windows devices
Some tweaks assume traditional processors. If you are on an ARM Windows device, expect some items to be unavailable rather than harmful. If something misbehaves, tell us the device.
Fan control on small devices
Support depends on what the manufacturer exposes. Where native firmware fan modes exist the app can use them. Where they do not, fan control may simply be unavailable, and the app will tell you rather than pretending.
