Switching Crosshairs and Hiding Them While Aiming

Hotkeys are free in RIP Reticle, so you can switch and hide crosshairs mid game without opening the app.

Setting a hotkey

1

Open Keybinds in the sidebar

2

Click Set hotkey next to the crosshair you want

3

Press the key you want to use

Hide when aiming

Turn on Hide when aiming on the Keybinds page and your crosshair disappears while you hold right click to scope. This stops a custom crosshair sitting on top of a scope, which is the single most requested behaviour.

Choosing keys that will not clash

Pick keys your games do not use. Function keys and the number pad are usually safe. Avoid anything you use to move, shoot or communicate, for obvious reasons.

If a hotkey does nothing

  • Check the game is not capturing that key first
  • Check another program has not claimed it globally
  • Try a different key before assuming it is broken

Only one crosshair at a time

Turning one on turns the current one off. If you set several hotkeys, they switch between crosshairs rather than stacking them.

Hotkeys with the free tier

They work on your three free crosshairs. They are free precisely so those three are genuinely usable rather than a demonstration.
