Applying to Work With Us
If you want to help out, we now have an official application form on our staff applications page. All roles are voluntary and unpaid, and we never recruit for chat or ticket support.
How to get in touch
What to include
- What you would like to help with
- Roughly how much time you have
- Anything you have done before that is relevant, including other communities
- Your time zone and which languages you speak
Languages are genuinely useful. We support eight of them and covering that well is one of the harder parts of what we do.
What we cannot promise
There is not always something open. Sending a message does not mean a role exists, and you may not get a yes. What you will get is an honest answer rather than silence.
Please do not send this repeatedly
One message is enough. Sending it several times does not move you up any list.
If you just want to help
Reporting bugs properly, with the detail listed on our reporting page, is genuinely valuable and it is how several useful fixes have started. That is worth more to us than most applications.
