What to Send Us When Something Goes Wrong
The more of this you include, the fewer times we have to come back to you. None of it is required, and a short message is always better than no message.
The most useful things
- Your error code if you were given one. It starts with RIP and is six characters long.
- The email on your account, so we can find you.
- What you were doing when it happened.
- Your app version, shown in Settings.
- Your Windows version, from winver in the Start menu.
For performance problems
A screenshot of the Specs page tells us more than any description. Add which game, and whether the problem is a low average frame rate or stutter, because those have different causes.
For a tweak that failed
Which tweak, and whether others also fail. One failing tweak and all tweaks failing are very different problems.
For billing
The email on the order, the date, the amount, and the last four digits of the card. Never send us your full card number, and we will never ask for it.
Screenshots
Add screenshots in the bug report form in the support bubble. A screenshot of the actual message beats retyping it, because small details get lost.
You get a reference number
Every conversation gets one immediately, so there is a record of when you raised it. Keep it if you want to follow up later.
Write in your own language
We support eight languages and you will get an answer in the one you wrote in.
