Does RIP Tweaks Work Without an Internet Connection

Partly. Some of the app works offline and some of it genuinely needs a connection.

What needs the internet

• Signing in, and checking whether your licence is active
• Any tweak that is fetched from our servers when you apply it
• The Apps page, which downloads software
• Updates
• Cloud backup of your crosshairs in RIP Reticle

What works offline

• Specs, including live readings
• Backups and restoring a restore point
• Tweaks that run entirely on your PC
• Your already applied tweaks, which are Windows settings and do not need us
• RIP Mode

Why sign in needs a connection

Your licence is checked against your account rather than stored as a file on your PC. That is what stops a licence being copied around, and it means we can fix your account from our side when something goes wrong.

If you are usually offline

The app is not designed for a permanently offline machine, and we would rather say that than have you buy it and be disappointed.

If you have a connection but the app cannot reach us

That is usually security software or a network filter rather than your connection. There is a separate page on exactly that.

Your data

What travels is signing in, licence checks and downloading the tweak you asked for. Nothing about your files, your games or what is on your PC.
