The App Used to Be Called AIM Tweaks
RIP Reticle was previously called AIM Tweaks. It is the same app, made by us, renamed. Nothing was sold, transferred or taken over.
Your licence still works
What changed on your PC
Newer versions install to a folder named after the new brand, and the app itself is named RIP Reticle. The move happens automatically when you update, including your saved crosshairs and your licence details.
If you still see the old name
You are on an older build. Update the app, or download the current version from our site and install over the top. Your crosshairs come with you.
If an old folder is left behind
Some older versions left their original folder in place after the move, and older uninstallers could leave files behind. It is harmless, it just takes up space. Current versions tidy this up on startup.
If you have a leftover folder you want gone and Windows will not let you delete it, send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right rather than forcing it. That situation has a specific cause and a proper fix.
Old shortcuts
A desktop or Start menu shortcut pointing at the old name may no longer work after the move. Delete it and use the new one, or reinstall to recreate it.
Why the rename
To make it obvious that RIP Tweaks and RIP Reticle come from the same place. The old name suggested it did something to your aim, which it does not.
