The App Cannot Reach Our Servers
Some tweaks are fetched from our servers when you apply them, and signing in checks with our servers too. If that connection is blocked you will see errors about a connection failing or being closed, and tweaks that worked yesterday will stop working.
The usual cause
Security software or a network filter deciding our traffic looks unfamiliar. It is rarely your internet connection itself, because everything else keeps working.
Quick checks in order

Open our website in a browser on the same PC
If the site loads but the app cannot connect, something on the PC is filtering the app specifically.

Check your antivirus or security suite for a blocked or quarantined item mentioning RIP Tweaks, and allow it

If you are on a school, work or shared connection, try a normal home connection or a phone hotspot. Managed networks often block anything they do not recognise

If you use a VPN, turn it off and try again
Some VPN exit points are blocked because of abuse coming from those addresses.
What is being sent
Signing in, checking whether your licence is active, and downloading the tweak you asked for. Nothing about your files, your games or what is on your PC.
If none of that helps
Send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right and tell us roughly where you are and whether you are on home or managed internet. Regional blocks do happen and we can usually confirm it quickly.
