How Many PCs Can You Use One Licence On

One PC at a time. You can move it between machines, but it does not run on two at once.

Why

A single purchase stays a single purchase. The app identifies the machine from its hardware, so it can tell the difference between you reopening it and the same licence being used somewhere else.

Moving to a different PC

1

Sign out on the old PC if you still have it

This costs nothing.
2

Install and sign in on the new one

If the old PC is gone, reset the device link from your account instead. You do not need access to it.

Resets

Active Premium includes one free reset per year. After that the price rises each time, starting at 1.99 euro. Signing out rather than resetting avoids using one.

A desktop and a laptop

That is two machines and needs two licences, even if only you use both.

The free tier

Install the app on as many PCs as you like and use the free tier on each. The limit applies to the Premium licence, not to the app.

What counts as a new PC

Replacing your motherboard, processor or main drive can look like a different machine. Adding memory, swapping a graphics card or plugging in a monitor usually does not. A Windows reinstall sometimes does and sometimes does not.

If you are asked to reset and changed nothing

Do not pay. Send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right with the email on your account and we will look at it.
