Error Codes in RIP Reticle
RIP Reticle uses the same error code system as RIP Tweaks. If something fails you get a short code starting with RIP followed by six characters.
What the code is
A label identifying exactly what failed. It carries no personal information and nothing about your files or your games.
The same problem always gives the same code, so we can recognise yours immediately and you can search this site for it.

There is no 0 or letter O, and no 1 or letter I, so it cannot be misread.

Common situations that are not errors
The crosshair does not appear
Usually fullscreen exclusive mode rather than a fault. Switch to borderless windowed.
A crosshair is locked
That is the free tier working as intended, not a failure.
Your slots are full
You have used all fifty custom slots. Delete or edit one.
That code does not exist
A share code was mistyped. Check it and try again.
If the app will not start at all
Then there is no code to read. Reinstall the current version over the top first, and if it still will not open, send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right describing what happens when you launch it.
