The Fixes Page: Repairing Common Windows Problems

Fixes is the wrench icon in the sidebar. It is separate from the tweaks, and it does the opposite job. Tweaks change Windows to make it faster. Fixes put Windows back when something has stopped working.

What is in there

Eighteen targeted repairs for problems people actually hit, grouped as Network, Gaming, Media, Hardware, System and Performance. Each one is a single button.

Who they are for

Anyone. They are free, they do not need Premium, and they are useful even if you never apply a single tweak.

How to use it

1

Open Fixes in the sidebar

2

Search for your symptom, or filter by category

3

Read the short description to check it matches what you are seeing

4

Tap Apply Fix, then restart if the app tells you to

What a fix actually does

Each one re-enables the Windows services and settings that a particular feature depends on. They are conservative by design. A fix turns things back on, it does not turn other things off.

They are safe to run even if you are not sure

If you run a fix for a problem you do not have, it restores settings that were already fine and nothing changes. There is no harm in trying the closest match.

Make a restore point anyway

It costs a minute and it means any change on your PC is reversible. Open Backups and create one before you start.

If a fix does not solve it

Some problems have more than one cause. If the matching fix does not do it, send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right and tell us which fix you tried, so we do not send you back round the same loop.
