Signing In With a Username or an Email Address

You can sign in to RIP Tweaks with either your username or the email address on your account. Both work, and both go to the same account.

Use the one you actually set

If you registered with an email and never chose a username, only the email will work.

If sign in is refused

1

Try the other one

If the email is refused, try your username, and the other way round.
2

Check for a typo

Usernames and emails are matched exactly.
3

Reset your password from the website if you are not certain of it

Guessing repeatedly can trigger a temporary block.
4

Try signing in on the website

If that works and the app does not, the account is fine and the problem is on the app side.

Too many attempts

Repeated failed attempts pause sign in for a short while. That is a protection against someone else guessing at your account. Wait a few minutes and try again with a password you are sure of.

Signing in on a shared PC

If more than one person uses the PC, sign out fully when you finish rather than leaving the app signed in. Closing the window is not signing out, because the app stays in the tray.

Two step verification

If you have it enabled you will be asked for your code after your password. Codes are time based, so if yours is refused, check your device clock is correct.

If nothing works

Send us a message from the support bubble at the bottom right with the email you registered. Do not create a second account, because any purchase you made sits on the first one.
