Track every update, fix, and improvement to RIP Tweaks.

Version 6.4

October 24, 2026

New

  • A cleaner look on every page: each page starts with its one main action, followed by simple sections. No more rows of labels, counters or glowing hover effects.
  • Hardware and Windows open straight on their tiles, and the Hardware tiles show the CPU, graphics card and RAM in your PC.
  • The app now opens with the newest version of every screen right away, also on a new install. No restart needed.
  • Network: Ultra-Low Bufferbloat, Disable QoS Bandwidth Reserve, TCP Auto-Tuning and Network Card Buffers are now free.
  • Network works like Input Lag: Optimize Network Performance on top, then Network & Ping, Bufferbloat and Adapter.
  • A redesigned Free Tweaks window: click a task card to do it.

Changed

  • CPU, GPU, RAM and Windows show only what fits your PC: your processor's and graphics card's brand, the RAM size detected in your PC, and your Windows version.
  • Clearer, shorter text everywhere, in all 8 languages. Tweak cards now say exactly what they change.
  • Cards that a turned-on tweak already includes show "Included in" and don't use a second free slot.
  • Tweaks with side effects say so: the Windows 10 and 11 bundles, Optimize NVIDIA GPU, Optimize RAM and the AMD and Intel CPU tweaks.
  • The BIOS page is simpler: BIOS Tweaks on top, then the BIOS settings guide and Restart to BIOS.
  • Apps: Update your apps on top, the categories above the list, and shorter app descriptions.
  • Backups, Fixes, Power and Customization have one clear main card each.
  • The estimated percentage numbers on tweak cards and game launches are gone.

Fixed

  • After the RIP preset or a taskbar change in Customization, the taskbar and desktop could stay gone (a blank screen) until a restart. They now come back within a second.
  • Wi-Fi Gaming Session, Prefer IPv4 over IPv6 and NVMe Power Saving Off showed an error instead of turning on. They work now.
  • Button and card text far down long pages, like Install on the Apps page, sat a few pixels too high.
  • Logging out is instant (it could take several seconds).
  • Scrolling the Apps page is smooth, also scrolling back up.
  • No more short stutters in the first seconds after the app opens.
  • An installed app could be matched to the wrong program, so its delete button removed another app.
  • BIOS: the Extreme profile no longer shows on laptops or for the other CPU brand, and three settings that can stop Windows from starting are no longer marked Safe.
  • Presets no longer add tweaks that don't fit your PC.
  • The Premium window no longer shows free features as Premium only.
  • A new install no longer shows "license check failed" on the first screen.
  • A rare crash right after finishing the first-start questions.
  • The giveaway popup no longer shows for Premium users, who can't enter.
