Using RIP Reticle With More Than One Monitor
RIP Reticle works with multi monitor setups, and there are a couple of things worth knowing so the crosshair ends up where you want it.
Which screen the crosshair appears on
The crosshair is drawn centred on the display your game is running on. If it appears on the wrong screen, the usual cause is that your game is not on the display you think it is, or your primary display is set to a different monitor from the one you play on.
Different resolutions
If your monitors run at different resolutions, a crosshair sized for one can look different on the other. Adjust the size while looking at the screen you actually play on.
Different refresh rates
Mixed refresh rates can affect how smoothly overlays draw on some systems. If the crosshair looks like it stutters while your game does not, that is usually why, and matching the refresh rates settles it where you can.
The FPS counter
The counter is positioned relative to the display the game is on, the same as the crosshair. Putting it on a second monitor so it never covers your game is a common setup and works well.
If the crosshair does not appear at all
The most common reason has nothing to do with monitors. Fullscreen exclusive mode stops overlays drawing. Switch your game to borderless windowed and it will appear.
Ultrawide and unusual aspect ratios
These work. The crosshair is placed at the centre of the display, which on an ultrawide is further from the edges than you may be used to.
